a fun side project / experiment, while working on the foam printer to test the stability of 1k-foam used in construction. the form gave the chair its stability with the thick, tapered legs while also being simple to manufacture and let the foam create its unique structure on the underside.
process
a mold made from wood is covered in PE-foil and release agent to prevent sticking. the foam is then sprayed into the mold and let to cure. after curing, the mold is dismantled and the final chair is done.

finish
The foam at the top of the chair was not able to harden with enough oxygen which resulted in it not expanding but rather forming a quite solid layer.
