As part of a BMBF-funded research project, hypotheses were developed for dealing with robotics and AI in the context of home care. Copernicus was developed as a vision for a home robot that caregivers and cared-for alike would like to keep in the home.
A technical design was then developed to follow the design and serve as a prototyping platform for researchers and designers alike - for which it was released as a kit under open source license (MIT). Awarded with the UX Design Award in the category "Concept" 2018.
This project was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
